Ink cartridges are available for different printer models. Not all ink cartridges can work on a specific printer model. You have to buy ink cartridges that are compatible with your printer model. There are two types of ink cartridges including OEM and third party ink cartridges. OEM ink cartridge is high quality and will definitely offer the optimal result as you had expected. OEM ink cartridge is a genuine cartridge that is made by original manufacturer. All the parts used to manufacture OEM ink cartridges are new. OEM cartridges are the most expensive cartridge you can find at the store. The quality and color that is produced by OEM ink cartridge is same as the quality that is advertised by the original manufacturer.

You must be aware of OEM ink cartridge that is expired. Many sellers use auction sites to deceive customers. They include the word OEM in the auction listing title and never mention the expiry date in the description. Many people assume that it is a great deal for OEM ink cartridges to be sold so cheap so they buy them. If you are shopping at an auction site, make sure you email the seller to ask about the expiry date. If the seller refuses to tell you, you should avoid buying from him. Besides, many sellers also like to sell trial ink cartridge to customers. Trial ink cartridge looks almost the same as OEM ink cartridge. The difference between trial and OEM ink cartridge is that trial cartridge has lower fill level. Depending on your printing need, you should buy an ink cartridge that has sufficient inks. Ink cartridges have different fill levels so you should make your selection wisely.

Third party ink cartridge is an off branded cartridge that can be used for common printing purposes. You can use a third party ink cartridge to print text, greeting card, and etc. However, the print quality will not be as high as that of the OEM ink cartridge. The disadvantage is that it is not guaranteed to perform efficiently. Third party ink cartridge is cheaper because there is always a chance it won’t work with your printer. If it doesn’t work with your printer, you will have wasted your money. Though OEM ink cartridge is more expensive, it is guaranteed to work with your printer. OEM ink cartridge is more durable and can last longer than third party ink cartridge.
